The Networking Social is an exclusive event designed for alumni who are in college and early in their careers, with the goal of connecting them with professionals and helping them explore potential roles.

The event will will include light bites, drinks, free headshots, a scholarship giveaway, a pre-networking workshop exclusive to alumni, and each YWPN student will leave with a special gift.

What to look

forward to

  • We will offer free headshots to everyone in attendance. Headshots will be sent to attendees directly 2 weeks after social.

  • Any YWPN Alumni is invited to attend a workshop from 5:00-5:45pm prior to the start of the social.

  • We will have two scholarships that we will give away the night of the event. Be sure to enter in the drawing when you check in at the event.

  • This event is a fantastic opportunity to expand your network and find a mentor, with recruiters present to discuss internship and job roles. Don't miss this chance to connect with professionals and explore new career opportunities.

Pre-Networking Workshop

Exclusive to YWPN Alumni, the Pre-Networking Workshop will be hosted from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM. Students will engage in a hands-on workshop with Sheliah from Intentional Growth Solutions. You can read more about Sheliah and her expertise on her wesbite: https://www.ig-solutions.com/

Networking can be a daunting experience but it doesn’t have to be if you're prepared. Learn how to network effectively and master your elevator pitch in this interactive workshop prior to the Networking Social! You’ll learn how to be your authentic self while building valuable connections, and you’ll leave prepared to make a lasting impression and expand your professional network. This session will provide you with tips to prepare for the YWPN Networking Social, and you’ll leave with insights on how to succeed in any networking setting.

At each event, several companies will have tables set up where you can learn about job opportunities, internships, and career paths. This is a fantastic chance to connect directly with recruiters and explore potential career opportunities.

  • Any alumni of a YWPN School can attend the pre-networking workshop.

  • Park in the back of the building right behind the Z atrium. We will validate your parking.

  • For any alumni attending the pre-networking workshop, feel free to bring a pen and notebook. We will have some for use.
